Oh, hello there! Welcome to therapy! I’m Justin Lamb.
I first began my journey in therapy as a client. Inspired by the light bulb moments I was having in my own sessions, I began to bring that growth mindset into other relationships in my life. Realizing I could be a catalyst for others to experience their own light bulb moments, I began my graduate program.
While I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and three Associate’s Degrees, including one in Business Administration. My path to where I am is winding and the trip has provided a multitude of experiences that shape how I view the world and approach my clients. I use these multifaceted experiences to make sure I meet each client where they are at. It’s important to me that I honor the individual path that brought you to my office, and the winding road you may have also traveled.
When it comes to styles and modalities, like most therapists, mine vary. The word ‘eclectic’ is often thrown around, but for good reason. There is no therapeutic style that is ‘one size fits all’. However, there is a commonality in all successful stories of growth and change in therapy: the relationship. The therapeutic relationship between the clinician and the client, between you and me, is the most important aspect of all therapy. I take that very seriously and cultivate an individual style with each client based on the needs they come to therapy with.
When I am not adding artwork to my walls or editing this website, you can find me with my cat, Teddy, or out on a local Michigan lake in my kayak, listening to nature.
